On Isogenous Principally Polarized Abelian Surfaces
We study a relationship between two genus 2 curves whose jacobians are isogenous with kernel equal to a maximal isotropic subspace of p-torsion points with respect to the Weil pairing. For p = 3 we find an explicit relationship between the set of Weierstrass points of the two curves extending the classical results of F. Richelot (1837) and G. Humbert (1901) in the case p = 2.

This paper is concerned with some Algebraic Geometry codes on Jacobians of genus 2 curves. We derive a lower bound for the minimum distance of these codes from an upper “Weil type” bound for the number of rational points on irreducible (possibly singular or non-absolutely irreducible) curves lying on an abelian surface over a finite field.

This paper classifies Enriques surfaces whose K3-cover is a fixed Picard-general Jacobian Kummer surface. There are exactly 31 such surfaces. We describe the free involutions which give these Enriques surfaces explicitly. As a biproduct, we show that Aut(X) is generated by elements of order 2, which is an improvement of the theorem of S. Kondo.

We give a method for finding rational equations of genus 2 curves whose jacobians are abelian varieties Af attached by Shimura to normalized newforms f ∈ S2(Γ0(N)). We present all the curves corresponding to principally polarized surfaces Af for N ≤ 500.
